Which players were selected for the expert's Premier League top performers lineup?

Following each fixture of top-flight matches throughout the campaign, expert commentator Troy Deeney shares his lineup and boss of the Week.

Below are this week's choices. Are you in agreement? Let us know via the response area at the bottom.

Goalkeeper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): His team were close to being trailing by six at Bournemouth if it wasn't for him. Key display, stepped up and displayed some quality. Superb shot-stopping to secure a 2-2 draw. A loss would have damaged their entire term.

Defensive unit

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's in the running for season's best. People will talk about Arsenal players. He's been the top performer without doubt.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): You'd have been a mad supporter to say 'Murillo will score and we'll beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You could have gotten long shots on that. He was excellent. He is emerging as a force. He is truly a handful. Delighted to watch him perform as he did previously.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I saw him several occasions earlier in Italy for AC Milan and he struggled due to errors. However with the Magpies he's impressed greatly. He's been great strength and imposing and seems polished. It looks like he's found a perfect fit.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not usually a full-back, leaning towards a modern type offensively. He is a wonderful signing for Brighton. Who would be surprised at them unearthing more talent unexpectedly? I thought after selling Pervis Estupinan it raised eyebrows but the club is aware what they're doing.

Central players

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Alike in style and they are selected for the shared purpose. Their clubs triumphed, everyone will talk about the goalscorers, but absent these individuals the sides struggle. They perform brilliantly. They halt attacks, they support going forward.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The man of the moment. Many Arsenal fans, including my son, expressed skepticism whether he was the man to secure victory. Three strikes in the north London derby and supporters now wish to erect a monument of him. Finishing, poise, he controlled the game. The top performer on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Perhaps this represents point of agreement with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it is quite challenging to leave him out. My view was he began well the term, In my opinion he acted with some expectation and thought he maybe have got a move to Chelsea, and perhaps aimed for that, but he seems to have settled down. Two superb finishes in the Leeds match dragged his team from behind. He proved decisive.

Attackers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I noted he doesn't look his normal self. It seemed his pace had gone. But wow. Words fail me. He performed superbly. Outstanding in his movement and in his dual goals.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He performs strongly, usually better as a substitute, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he must start. He failed to convert a huge chance against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. But to have the psychological strength to enter into challenging moments and score twice was impressive.

Coach

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and beats Arne Slot. A superb tactical approach. Possibly it was several more for Forest and few would dispute.
