England Team Selection Revealed: Bellingham and Foden Omitted, Saka Returns
The England manager has opted to stick with the same Three Lions selection that triumphed against Andorra and produced a stellar performance in Serbia last month, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in Latvia.
Although Phil Foden making a strong case for a return to the squad after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Bellingham having returned for Real Madrid following a surgical procedure, the head coach has decided against selecting two of the country's biggest attacking talents. Bellingham has started only once for his team since his return.
Tuchel has found space for Bukayo Saka, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured club colleague the sidelined player. Jack Grealish has not been handed a recall.

Tuchel highlighted the vibrancy in last month's squad and appears determined to maintaining the vibe. Tino Livramento, who featured at left-back in the 5-0 win in Serbia, has dropped out due to a knee injury. Tuchel has opted against selecting a direct replacement for the Magpies star but has included John Stones, who had to pull out previously. Tuchel has discussed the Manchester City defender's importance for England and has floated the idea of using him in midfield.
There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was selected last month but withdrew injured and was substituted by the Milan player.
Tuchel said: “A mere three weeks after the previous gathering and the last win, the latest display, so the consideration was why not bring the same group in because they set the standard. Now it is about building routines out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Livramento and Madueke and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Madueke. The defender was a last-minute addition last time; he will stay in camp.”
