This event was expected as among the more competitive runnings of this distinctive seven-furlong contest for fillies and mares. However, veterinary inspections led to several scratches earlier today, including top contenders Sweet Azteca and Tamara.

Consequently, the field now appears significantly reduced, but trainer Bob Baffert stands a strong chance to claim a twentieth Breeders’ Cup victory. His entrants include Richi along with Splendora, whereas Hope Road, victor in the G1 Ballerina Stakes, is considered the primary threat.

Additional contenders include Bucanero Fuerte as well as She’s Quality, both holding solid form. American-trained competitors such as Motorious, Ag Bullet, plus Reef Runner also pose serious challenges, with Ag Bullet showing elite-level ability in the Jaipur Stakes.
